Senior Vice President, Capital Markets

Charlie Ryan is a Senior Vice President at Hunter Hotel Advisors and oversees the firm’s debt and capital market activities on a national scale. Before joining Hunter, Charlie launched the Capital Markets division at Sonder, where he led all asset level financing activities across the US and North America. While at Sonder, Charlie helped place more than $500M in senior loans and mezzanine financing on behalf of Sonder’s real estate partners. 

Prior to Sonder, Charlie played a role in the formation of CBRE Hotel’s West Coast Debt & Structured Finance Team. As the second hire to the group, Charlie assumed a key position, advising clients on effective debt management strategies resulting in $150M+ in senior and mezzanine loan placements. Prior to CBRE, Charlie was a member of Lowe Enterprises Investors (LEI) debt investments platform, a Los Angeles based real estate investment management firm. 

 Charlie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan and resides in Los Angeles with his family.
